Name That Tune is an American television music game show. They were created and produced by orchestra conductor Harry Salter and his wife, Roberta Semple Salter. Name That Tune features contestants competing to accurately identify songs played by an on-stage orchestra or band. The series was premiered on the NBC Radio Network in 1952, where it aired until 1954 and made a move to television in 1953 on the same network. CBS picked up the television series in 1953 and held it through 1959. Name That Tune was again produced in 1984 using the $100,000 prize in its branding. The show aired as a daily series with some modifications to the format, including the tournament structure. Unfortunately, it did not discover its predecessor's hit in syndication and stopped after one season in 1985. Prestige Entertainment, Eureka Productions, in November 2020, and Fox told a new primetime version of Name That Tune hosted by actress Jane Krakowski, premiered on January 6, 2021. It was filmed in Australia with American contestants. 2nd season of the revival premiered on March 29, 2022.
