BIOGRAPHY
Born on April 27, 1998 in Sweden, Sokia Kappel grew up in the suburbs of Stockholm, surrounded by three older brothers and a little sister. A banal environment which is disrupted by depression which hits her from the age of 8, followed around the age of 14 by dysmorphophobia, that is to say an obsession with an imaginary or slight physical defect. A psychological disorder against which she fights through numerous therapies. One of them forces her to confront situations that make her feel vulnerable.
This is how Sofia Kappel, who was not at all destined for comedy, heard through a friend about an audition for a film. Without any acting experience – she studied economics and law and worked as a saleswoman – the young woman landed the leading role in Ninja Thyberg ‘s Pleasure at 19 .
