BIOGRAPHY
Michele Morrone born and raised in Apulia, Italy, in a Catholic family. Although he was interested in comedy from his earliest childhood, his strict upbringing encouraged him to concentrate on his studies, before giving himself a chance in the profession. It was therefore only once he had graduated that the young Italian joined a theater troupe, in order to perfect his natural abilities, and to make his debut in the industry. Despite his dreams of cinema, Michele Morrone was content with the theater for several years, the time to gain experience.
After spending three years on stage, Michele Morrone felt ready and auditioned to go in front of the camera. At 21, he landed a small role in an Italian series called Come un delfino . Without bringing him the recognition he hoped for, these television debuts allowed him to appear in several other local programs such as Provaci angora prof! and Renata Fonte . It was his remarkable interpretations of Ares in Sirene and of a boat captain in Les Médicis , which finally opened the doors of cinema to him seven years later, in 2018. He was then in the casting of the comedy L’ultimo giorno del toro and the drama Bar Joseph , while continuing his television career with the detective series Il Processo , in which he plays a business manager.
In 2020, it is the consecration for Michele Morrone who lends his features to the Italian mafioso Massimo Toricelli, in the film adaptation of the Polish erotic novel 365 DNI , available in the Netflix catalog. His character’s striking resemblance to Christian Gray from Fifty Shades gives him enormous visibility as an actor, but also as a singer and musician, since he participates in the film’s soundtrack. Launched on the path to success, Michele Morrone also found himself starring in the feature film Duetto the same year, in the role of composer.
