BIOGRAPHY
In early 2009, when she was between eleven and twelve years old, Malala Yousafzai wrote a blog for the BBC under a pseudonym, detailing her life under Taliban occupation, her attempts to take control of the valley, and her views. on promoting girls’ education in the Swat Valley. The following months she increased in importance, giving interviews in the written press and on television, which led her in 2012 to be the victim of an attack in which she was shot three times on the way to school. After leaving this event alive, Malala, an activist, blogger and university student at Oxford, became an international symbol of the fight for girls’ education. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 at the age of 17, becoming the youngest person to win that award in any of the categories it is awarded.
