Luis Alberti is a Mexican actor, born on October 30, 1981, in Mexico City. When he was a child he was not totally clear that he wanted to dedicate himself to acting, rather he had considered the idea of ​​being a doctor, pianist or architect, this last profession was the one that resonated most in his head but mathematics was never his strong point and, almost By chance, he entered the theater workshops in his high school. Later, he studied theater at La Casa del Teatro AC, in addition to taking seminars such as “actor’s dramaturgy” and “expressive liberation for actors” in different acting schools. He also participated in the “Costa Careyes” creation laboratory of the Ingmar Bergman chair in film and theater at the UNAM, which was taught by the actor Pawel Pawlikowski. Between 2006 and 2011, Luis was part of the independent group of actors known as “Vaca 35”, under the direction of director Damián Cervantes, creating works such as El loco amor vivir, Casualmente collective creation, When everyone thought we had disappeared , among several others. . Alberti made his film debut with the film The Golden Cage (2013), and later participated in films such as The Dark Side of the Light (2013), Eddie Reynolds and Los Ángeles de Acero (2014), Tropical Carmín (2014), Eisenstein in Guanajuato (2015), Los Parídos (2015), in addition to the series Crónica de castas (2014) and Yo no creo en los hombres (2014). On television, the actor has been part of the series Rosario Tijeras (2016-2017), where he shared credits with Bárbara de Regil, and El Cesar (2017). 2018 and 2019 were important years for the actor, on the one hand he participated in Luciérnagas , a reflection on identity, exile and belonging. Subsequently, he surprised critics and the public again with his character in Manpower (2019), a film directed by David Zonana and produced by Eréndira Núñez and Michel Franco, which brought to the big screen a film supported by Alberti and a cast of non-professional actors. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival with success and later opened the 2019 Morelia International Film Festival. That year he was also chosen to play Lupe Esparza, vocalist of the Mexican band Bronco, in Bronco: The Series .
