BIOGRAPHY
Judge Reinhold grew up in Virginia until his family moved to Florida before his junior year in high school. Wanting to become an actor, he found his first role in 1978 in an episode of Wonder Woman . Three years later, he played in Ivan Reitman ‘s Les Bleus , a comedy starring Bill Murray and Harold Ramis . He then appeared alongside Sean Penn in Ridgemont High School and Willem Dafoe in Roadhouse 66 . In 1984, his notoriety increased when he was chosen to play Billy Rosewood, the friendly teammate of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop . The police comedy enjoyed phenomenal success with $316 million in worldwide revenue for a budget of $15 million. The film thus led to two sequels in 1987 and 1993 , in which the actor reprized his role and which again proved lucrative (especially the second opus). Alongside this franchise, Judge tours a lot. This is evidenced by his performances (often in the comedy register) in Is there someone who will kill my wife? , The Cop Was Almost Perfect , Vice Versa , A Corpse on His Arms , Bad Billy , Super Christmas , False Identity or Walking Across Egypt . Aside from cinema, he made a few appearances in series like Ghostwriter , Seinfeld , Lonesome Dove and Arrested Development . From the 2000s, the Wilmington native toured less and confined himself even more to roles in DTV, TV films or other (often) family feature films that were not systematically released in cinemas. We see it in Beethoven 3 and 4 , Mindstorm , Mortal Pulsations , Hyper Christmas , Dr. Dolittle 5 , Thanksgiving Family Reunion , Mega Frosted Super Christmas , Swing Vote and Four Christmases and a Wedding . Soon, Judge Reinhold will reprise his character of Inspector Billy Rosewood for a fourth time in Beverly Hills Cop 4 for Netflix. Laurent Schenck
