Hannah Margaret Selleck can best be described as a blue-blooded Hollywood royal. Born to famous parents, Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack, in Hollywood, California, she had the perfect recipe for a life of glitz and glamour. Hannah Margaret Selleck was born on December 16, 1988. She is the daughter of famous Hollywood actor and producer Tom Selleck, known for his television roles such as Thomas Magnum in Magnum, PI (1980-1988) and more recently as commissioner Frank Reagan in Blue Blood
Her mother, Jillie Joan Mack, is a former English-born actress/dancer. Hannah’s father had actually met her mother in London, Jillie Mack, after watching her perform in the musical. Cats. The rest is history as they eventually got married and a year later their daughter Hannah Selleck was born.
After Hannah arrived, the family moved from Hollywood to a ranch house in Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village, California. The ranch covers an area of 65 acres, with a horse corral and a 20-acre avocado farm. It’s no surprise that young Hannah Margaret took an interest in horseback riding. Her love for horses dates back to the age of 4, when she was trying to learn to ride on the back of a Shetland pony. This first experience had a huge impact on young Hannah and sparked a passionate interest in the 4-legged animal.
Hannah also encouraged her parents to explore other activities like ice skating, soccer, gymnastics and even ballet. However, his love for horses continued throughout his teenage years. She has shown little to no interest in the Hollywood glamor her parents are a part of, but has made a career for herself as a world-class equestrian.
Even as a rising equestrian star, Hannah Selleck had time to attend Loyola Marymount University where she majored in communications. After graduating in 2011, she ventured into the business world. She did a six-month internship at a public relations firm in Beverly Hills. However, she didn’t like staying indoors all day, so she quit smoking and went back to riding.

Hannah Margaret Selleck began her junior career at the age of ten. She has also won numerous awards, including the team silver medal at the Prix de States in 2005; the 16-year-old riding championship at the Capitol Challenge in 2006; the $35,000 Grand Prix Blenheim Summer Classic II (2010), the $10,000 Blenheim Summer Classic 1.35 Classic (2011), among many others.
As a world-class show rider, Selleck now competes at Grand Prix level. She is alongside the best riders in the world in such prestigious events as the Gucci Masters tournament (2011) and the Longines Masters 2015 in her hometown of Los Angeles.
Hannah Selleck does not want to follow in the footsteps of her parents. Career-wise, Tom Selleck’s daughter wouldn’t want to be in Hollywood like her famous parents. According to her, she took an acting class in college and she was left terrified. Different shots for different people!

Hannah runs a Descanso Farm breeding barn in her hometown of California with her father Tom Selleck. The farm develops young horses into quality sport horses for sale or personal use.
Hannah Selleck is an ambassador for the equestrian charity JustWorld International. In March 2014, she went skydiving to raise money for the organization.
