Gregory Baker Obituary, Death – Gregory Anthony Baker, a beloved resident of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023, at the age of 55. Born on September 24, 1968, to Charles and Mary Ann Baker of Edgewood, Kentucky, Greg’s roots were firmly grounded in the picturesque landscapes of the Crittenden farm where he spent his formative years. He completed his education at Covington Catholic High School and subsequently followed his passion for construction, becoming a skilled master carpenter.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Greg found solace in the serenity of fishing, eagerly anticipating the annual summer trips to Lake Erie with family and friends. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his infectious laughter and a wonderful, sometimes mischievous, sense of humor. Those fortunate enough to share his company were blessed by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering willingness to assist those in need.
Greg is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Catherine Jordan, paternal grandparents Kirk and Sophie Kirkpatrick, and uncle Thomas “Buzz” Jordan. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Mary Ann Baker, and siblings Jeanie Baker (Adel AlDulijan), Beth Baker, Ric Baker (Karen), and Kelly Kremer (Scott). Greg’s legacy also lives on through his daughter, Courtney Cross (Jeremy), and his cherished grandchildren, Aubrey and Easton Cross.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at noon at Mother of God Church in Covington, Kentucky. Following the mass, a gathering in the undercroft of the church will provide an opportunity for friends to honor and celebrate Greg’s life. All who knew him are warmly welcomed to pay their respects and share in the memories of a man whose laughter and kindness will be remembered forever.
