Elko Police arrested four people early Sunday morning following a robbery and reports that they were brandishing a firearm
Around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Elko Police responded to a report of a fight involving multiple people on Court Street.
Officers arrived to find a man on the corner of the road who said he was assaulted by several people who called him a "crip" and took the shoes off his feet.
The man had suffered injures but declined medical care.
Later that night officers were dispatched downtown on a weapons call where multiple males who matched the description given by the first victim appeared to be brandishing a firearm.
The car they were in, a silver SUV, was stopped and four people were taken into custody.
18-year-old Cayden Reyes and 18-year-old Gavin Harp, both of Elko, were arrested for Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery according to a post on the Elko Police Department Facebook Page.
Each was booked into the Elko County Jail on $300,000 bail.
A 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female were also taken into custody and booked into the Elko County Juvenile Detention Center.
The SUV they were in was seized in anticipation of an application for a search warrant to recover the stolen shoes and a possible firearm.
Police think two other males could possibly have been involved in the incident. Their investigation is ongoing.
