Son of comedian Philip Seymour Hoffman and costume designer Mimi O’Donnell , Cooper Hoffman made his film debut in 2021 in Licorice Pizza . He plays the leading male role in this romance set in the 70s, in front of the camera of Paul Thomas Anderson , with whom his father had made five films. His performance as a lovestruck teenager earned him a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a comedy.
