All about Alex Mandel
Alex Mandel is the son of Canadian actor Howie Mandel, actor and comedian. In January 2010, Howie was announced as a judge on America’s Got Talent
As a child, Alex spoke with a severe stutter. The situation was so serious that young Alex remained silent for almost a year. Thanks to the speech therapy he underwent, he was able to recover and began to speak normally.
As an actor, Alex Mandel took part in the hidden camera show Tactics of Fear (2003) and in the 2012 comedy film Noobz. He also had the directing and writing credits for 6 episodes of the 2014 comedy television series Small Jobs.
Her journey to internet stardom was kind of accidental. He started posting comedy videos on the Stickam.com website. Alex was able to reach over 20,000 viewers. Unfortunately, the site lost its sponsors and was shut down, along with the large following that Alex had been able to build.
Having suffered the disappointment of losing his first hard-earned Internet audience, the talented comedian had an acting career he could rely on. He also embraced his YouTube career and built it from scratch. Its first YouTube upload, however, was not intended for the public. He had recorded a video for a TV role he was fighting for and was asked to upload it to YouTube for the casting director to review. The role he auditioned for was funny, and the video quickly attracted many viewers. In less than 24 hours, the video garnered an incredible 1,000 views.
YouTube was a mind-boggling discovery for the levlogger as he found it as liberating as his original website. However, he struggled to break into the YouTube community, even though he had a strong background in vlogging. In the first few years on YouTube, he only managed to get 1,000 subscribers.
However, he remained fearless and kept pushing. He started attending VidCon, the annual gathering of top YouTubers and online viewers. Armed with critical advice from new mentors, coupled with his experience as a producer and actor, Alex Mandel finally rose and his YouTube stats began to soar. He also landed collaborations with other famous players such as Roman Atwood and Dennis Roady.
Eventually, Alex was noticed by the website in the community and was given the position of Prank Manager at Break Media (now Defy Media). He had great success at Break but decided to quit in order to focus on his own career.
Apart from his main YouTube channel, Alex Mandel has another YouTube channel “Alex Mandel Drinks” where he makes his own original cocktails.
