A woman who was found dead inside her Brisbane home last week has been identified as a mother of two.
Amanda Woodward is the woman whose body was discovered at a house in Logan Reserve, in the city’s southern suburbs, last Friday, the Courier Mail reported.
Ms Woodward has been remembered as a “beautiful soul”.
Emergency services rushed to the property on Pierro St at around 4.45pm last Friday to find Ms Woodward, in her 30s, unresponsive.
Neighbours had called police to conduct a welfare check on the woman. Ms Woodward’s daughter reportedly told neighbours she had been locked out of the house and hadn’t see her mother for six hours.
Ms Woodward was declared dead at the scene.
“A crime scene has been established at the address, with investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death underway,” a police spokesman said at the time.
A high school friend of Ms Woodward’s told the Courier Mail there was now an “emptiness in her heart”.
“Amanda was such a beautiful soul. My dear friend who was always there when you needed her. I will miss our long chats, I will miss her laugh,” she said.
Police have not commented on the circumstances of the death.
Police urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file an online report.
